5 Ways To Use A Charger Plate

First off – If you are wondering what a charger plate is, a charger plate or service plate is a large decorative plates used to dress up dinner tables at parties, weddings, and other special events. Often a decorative charger plate is left on the table as a large coaster for the soup and salad courses and then removed for the main entree. Others keep the under-plate or charger together until the end of the entire meal.

Today there are multiple uses for charger. No longer relegated to strictly table duty, the charger is now useful for a countless of other decorating ideas.

  1. Use a rack to mount the charger to wall and use as wall art.
  2. Use as a decorative plate, on a plate rack or flat, for a coffee or end table.
  3. Use as a base for candles. Make your own cluster of candles or use a single one surrounded by colored rocks, crystals, seashells, silk flowers, greenery or anything else your heart desires.
  4. Use to display fresh or artificial fruit and vegetables on a kitchen table.
  5. Use as a vanity tray in your bathroom or bedroom. Put your shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, brushes, and combs on it.
