A Closer Look At The Tuohy House From The Blind Side

Did you know that the awarding winning movie The Blind Side was filmed just down the road from our Atlanta store?  The Tuohy’s home, which is actually located in Memphis, Tennessee, used a private residence in an upscale Buckhead neighborhood for filming.

According to the production notes, the Buckhead home was selected because this house reflected Leigh Anne Tuohy’s style and the look of her own home.

Production Designer Michael Corenblith says, “Leigh Anne was phenomenally gracious and opened her home to our set decorator Susan Benjamin. Susan spent two days with the family, which allowed us to emulate Leigh Anne’s decorating style.”

The living room with the $10,000 sofa that Leigh Anne claimed Michael ruined by sleeping on night after night.
